About the MEF Food Project
MEF, in conjunction with Oklahoma City-based hunger relief organization Feed the Children, Goodwill Industries of Colorado Springs and El Paso County Department of Human Services, has for many years, distributed food, toys, and other gifts to needy families in Colorado Springs during the Holiday Season.

We have great need for the following items:

  • Food items ~ canned meat & non-perishable foods
  • Turkeys or money to purchase turkeys/for each family
  • Winter hats, mittens or gloves ~ for adults and children
  • Clothing for children
  • Monetary donations are greatly needed ~ to cover cost of additional food items and sponsorship of 4 truckloads of food and personal hygiene items.
  • Toys ~ new toys to share with those visiting SANTA and Mrs. Claus
  • We encourage you, your church, Sunday School Class, Youth Group or Missions Committee to help us make a real difference in the lives of people in need. Call the MEF office at (719) 591-7481 or e-mail for more information on how to be involved in this Christmas project.
